Calling all bookworms - there's a literary themed hotel that needs to go on your bucket lists right now.

The Literary Man Hotel has everything you could possibly want for a dreamy bookish getaway. We're talking over 50,000 books on offer, its very own library, cosy reading nooks everywhere and even a dedicated gin bar with themed cocktails.

Plus, it's located in the picturesque medieval town of Obidos in Portugal, which looks like it could be right out of a storybook too thanks to its towering castle and cobbled streets.

But back to the hotel itself.

The Literary Man offers everything from a bookstore with tens of thousands of titles on offer across fiction and non-fiction; and half of these can be borrowed by the hotel's guests during their stay.

Or you could check out the lending library, although books from here can only be read on-site -luckily, there's a huge lounge with plenty of comfortable seating and candlelit corners that make for a unique reading expereince.

Not sure what you want to read first? There are thousands of books which have been donated by fellow holidaymakers and locals - so you can find something on almost any topic, in a whole host of languages too.

As for reading spots, you'll be spoiled for choice. As well as the lounge you'll find plenty of nooks in the impressive dining room, or of course you can take your books back to your hotel room to read in peace and quiet.

However we'd be grabbing novels and heading straight to the hotel's impressive Literary Gin Bar, where more reading hideaways await, not to mention the cocktail list is inspired by literary icons and their biggest works.

Cocktails include the Jack Kerouac (margarita), The Catcher in the Rye (old fashioned), Moby Dick (salty dog) and The Great Gatsby (French 75).

But for those who want a bit of time alone to read, the hotel offers up 30 impressive bedrooms, ranging from standard double rooms to cosy suites with balconies.

The best part is you won't need to break the bank if you're tempted by a stay, with rooms starting from £64 a night on TripAdvisor .

Meanwhile Obidos sits about an hour outside of Lisbon, making it easy to find cheap flights too, with return fares from £44 .
